Oil Dehydration
Process can be employed for the removal of water during recycling of wastes originating from:
Lubricating oils & fuels
Cutting oils
Machine oils
Industrial fluids
Marine bilge
Metalworking fluids
Vaccum services
Soluble oils
Heat & Chemical Treatment:
This method does not remove water completely. Chemicals are expensive. Sludge / rag layers are produced.
Soluble oils cannot be separated from water using chemical treatment alone.
Distillation / Evaporation :
Expensive without heat recovery, fouling & corrosion problems.
Sequoia’s Oil Dehydration Process is an evaporative type of system. It combines unique design features for recovering energy and reducing fouling and corrosion potential. Water present in feed is evaporated. Upon condensation of the water vapor heat energy is released. Sequoia’s Oil Dehydration transfers this energy to incoming cold feed. The heat recovery is achieved by compressing evaporated water so as to facilitate heat exchange between hot vapor and cold liquid feed. In short, the process recycles latent heat of vaporization of water. The compressor & make-up steam meet balance energy requirement. The net effect is dewatering from oily waste at reduced cost.
